Autoplay by itself solves a smaller problem than it first appears to. It plays the song — every note in the PERFECT window, with no ceiling on the combo. Then the song ends, and the room returns to a lobby, and it waits for a human.
Somebody has to mark ready. Somebody has to start the next track. On its own, autoplay turns a demanding game into an undemanding one, but it does not turn a session into something that continues while you are elsewhere. The gap between songs is still yours to fill, and it recurs every few minutes for as long as you play.
Auto-Ready closes the first half of that gap: when the room returns to the lobby, you are marked ready without touching anything. Auto-Start closes the second: when the room is ready to go, the next track begins.
Put together, they close the loop. The song plays, the room resets, you are ready, the next song starts, and it goes round again with nobody at the keyboard. That is the whole claim — press Confirm once and the loop runs itself.
A long unattended session has a second failure mode that has nothing to do with the game: the client goes to sleep. Active Screen is the anti-freeze that stops that, keeping the client awake through a run nobody is watching.
It is worth understanding that it is not a separate feature bolted onto the side. Of the four actions you bind hotkeys to, two are autoplay on and off and two are Active Screen on and off. It sits at the same level as autoplay itself, because over a long session it is doing equally load-bearing work.
The difference is the difference between a tool you supervise and a session that runs itself. With autoplay alone you are still tethered — free to look away for the length of a song, not for the length of an evening. With the loop closed, the length of the session stops being a function of your attention.
The recordings on this site are all unedited for exactly this reason: the claim is about what happens over minutes with nobody present, and that is not something a screenshot can carry.
